What Happens When Basic Writers Enter College? Question #1
Some points in this selection, I will admit that I did not agree on. However, when drafting papers I can see how much easier it would be if I went in with my own world views. Sometimes, when I am sitting down to write a paper, I start by thinking how I am supposed to look at the topic chosen. For instance, what view am I supposed to be writing in? What kind of personality does the audience want me to have for this topic? That takes up a lot of time and concentration. So much that I get to the point where I am just too tired to begin actually writing my rough draft. If I used my own world views and went in with my own thoughts without worrying about "who I should be", then the paper would flow nicely.
